Anne Kennedy Petty's Obituary
Anne Kennedy Petty, 77, of Culpeper died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on May 6, 1932 in Rappahannock County to the late Dewey and Ressie Jenkins Kennedy.
Mrs. Petty was a member of Church of the Brethren. She loved dancing, baseball and softball games, traveling, going to yard sales but above all her family. She was a sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by each heart she touched.
She is survived by her children, Linda Curtis of Fredericksburg, Richard Petty and his wife, Debra Mills of Haywood and Rebecca Jenkins and her husband, Scotty of Brightwood, one brother, John Kennedy of Amissville, and three sisters, Ethel Hawkins of Manassas, Ruth Hawkins of Bealeton and Mary.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Melisa Petty, Jennifer Metzger, Edward Lee Hawley, Jr., Tiffany Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, and Megan Jenkins, great grandchildren, Courtney Berry, Kaitlyn Hawley, Stephanie Metzger, Lindsay Metzger, Tyler Metzger, Bella Metzger, McKenzie Lee, McKala Lee and Turner Jenkins, and a dear friend, Thelma Corbin.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Henry Petty, her sister, Louise Smoot and five brothers, Lee, William, Thomas, Henry and Wes Kennedy.
