Annabelle Burruss' Obituary
Annabelle Burruss, 94, of Stafford County passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at her home.
She loved flowers, birds, gardening, and most of all her family. She had a special love for her dog, Petie.
Annabelle is survived by her children, Anna Lee McLaughlin of Pennsylvania, Jeanette Merritt (Larry) of Fredericksburg, James “Jim” Burruss of Georgia, Drema Diana King of Stafford, and Patricia Cleveland (Charlie) of Maryland; 10 grandchildren, Vanessa Dumrauf, Judith McLaughlin, Larry Merritt, Amy Merritt Bishop, Sabrina Heasley, Russell Lilly, Chris Burruss, Patrick King, David Cleveland, and James Cleveland; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashton; daughter, Joyce Lilly, who is survived by her husband, Russell “Sonny” Lilly; and two grandchildren, Garry and Kimberly Merritt
Annabelle’s family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Annabelle’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Micah Ecumenical Ministries, 1013 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
