Anna Grace Smith's Obituary
Anna Grace Smith, 104 years old, departed this world to enter God’s world on October 31, 2015. She was born the youngest of 10 children to the late Peter Ryder and Ella Haines Ryder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Peter Smith.
Mrs. Smith was affectionately known as Granny. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She also enjoyed the Redskins and Notre Dame College football.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Corder of Windsor, CA and Joan Anderson and her husband, Bill of Culpeper, VA; and grandchildren; great grandchildren; step grandchildren; and step great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating.
A special thanks to all the caregivers, especially Dee Smith, Laraine Frazier and Maura Minge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Heartland Hospice, 400 Holiday Court, Suite 101, Warrenton, VA 20186.
