Anna Belle Elam's Obituary
Anna Belle Elam, 90, of Winchester, died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her home. She was born May 7, 1934, in Fauquier County, VA to the late Albert Lee and Gertrude Leach.
Anna was a member of The Plains Baptist Church. She loved playing solitaire and watching soap operas.
She is survived by five children, Pamela Lee Nichols, Carolyn “Susie” Corbin, Ronald “Ronnie” W. Moore, Sandra “Kay” Moore Nichols, and Gary Moore (Lois); son-in-law, Mike Atkins; seven siblings, Hazel Sisson, Roy Leach, Eugene “Gene” Leach, Doris Jacobs, Michael Leach (Shirley), Rev. Herbert “Herbie” Leach, and Gary Leach (Alice); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Manzel O. Elam; two children, Georgia Ann Settle and Gregory Charles Moore; two brothers, Albert Leach and Charles “Charlie” Leach; two brothers-in-law, Harold “Sam” Sisson, Robert Jacobs; and three sisters-in-law, Mary Leach, Joyce Leach and Jean Leach
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA.
