Anna Mae Brown's Obituary
Anna Mae Brown, 93, of Lignum, VA, peacefully went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born September 22, 1930 in Orange County to the late Dorian Garfield Myers and Orella Mae Thomas Myers of Elkwood, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Brown; one son, David J. Brown; one daughter-in-law, Debra J. Brown; two sons-in-law, Gil Easterwood and Roy Robinson; one granddaughter, Jennifer “Becky” Brown; and seven siblings.
She is survived by four children, Charles Benton Brown, Jr. (Janet) of Elkwood, Cheryl Robinson of Louisa, Deborah Gardner (Al) of Ocean Isles Beach, NC, and Ralph Brown (Kelly) of Lignum; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and nine siblings, Margaret Brown of Fredericksburg, Dorian Myers of Fredericksburg, George Myers of Remington, Bonnie Weedon of Boise, ID, Linda Jeffries of Culpeper, Rick Myers of Lignum, Kyle Myers of Unionville, Tony Myers of Madison, and Audrey Watson of Lignum.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 23557 Lignum Rd, Lignum, VA 22726 with Pastor Mike Evans officiating.
Interment will follow immediately.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Anna Brown’s name to Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department at 19601 Church Road, Brandy Station, VA 22714, or Richardsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue at 29361 Eleys Ford Road, Richardsville, Virginia 22736.
