Ann McGowan's Obituary
Ann McGowan, 88 of Spotsylvania County, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, Sunday November 24, 2013.
Ann was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dale City and was a school teacher for 30 years, teaching in Prince William County for the last 19 years before retiring in 1987.
Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles; three daughters, Charlotte Caton of Stafford County, Carol Lemieux and her husband, Fred of Spotsylvania and Christi DiVecchia and her husband, Tim of Fairfax; six grandchildren, Lauren, Courtney, Matthew, J. Adam, Adriana and Nicholas; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh and a nephew, Jeffrey Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Ann’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Mary Washington Home Health & Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407 or to Epiphany Lutheran Church, 13495 Keytone Road, Dale City, VA 22193.
