Andrew Leroy Borreson Jr.'s Obituary
Andrew Leroy Borreson, 74, of Orange County passed away September 7, 2017.
Born on July 19, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He started his life at the age of 16 and joined the United States Army, where he served his country in the Vietnam War followed by the Desert storm in the United States Navy. Along with these he also served in the South Pole and Australia. He was one of the few that were still able to communicate with the knowledge and ability by using his wireless transmitting key.
Andrew then retired as a Chief Petty Officer Radioman, in 1993, then started driving trucks at Harold Ives for several years. He officially retired after working in the CVS Distribution Center in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sylvia Wallace Borreson; daughters, Pamela Borreson and Andrea (Brandon) Fitzner; sons, Brian Selby, Dewight Selby and Aaron (Erica) Selby; son-in-law, Robert Barton; 15 grandchildren, Angelica Borreson, Stephannie Borreson, Kaleb Hurley, Amber Barton, Kimberlee Barton, Melody Barton, Jaden Barton, Amiee Mills, Kia-Dre Henry, Michael Selby, Mathew Mills, Emilee Mills, Ashlee Selby, Brandon Selby and Nakita Strangeways; and five great-grandchildren, Isabelle Shults, Ella Shults, Emilee Shults, Dante Henry and Levi Selby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Borreson, Sr. and Helen Foreman.
Andrew’s family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be at 12:00 p.m. in Quantico National Cemetery. Food and refreshments will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1710 Bragg Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407 following the service.
