Marie was my first best friend. As awkward little grade school student she was the first to invite me to play with her and invite me over to her house. It was nice to not to be alone anymore. Over the many years of her life I know Marie made many others feel they were not alone anymore. See you again on the other side of space/time my friend.

Marie was a beacon of light to all who not only knew her, but crossed her path. We had so many great memories and laughs. I met her the summer before our 7th grade. As we got older and did not see each other as much, we never skipped a beat. Talking with her was always like we were in 7th grade again, sitting on the front porch as if there was no time or distance between us. I cant believe she is gone. There is an empty spot in my heart. What a loss, such a loss. She told me she was not afraid to die. She knew God had a plan for her life and had brought her through so much. She said she was at peace. Her only concern was for her son, and family. Tommie, Mr. and Mrs. Schultz, and Aunt Sophie, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot attend on Sunday, due to business and being on the west coast now. Know my heart, thoughts, prayers, and hugs are with you. This world cannot last much longer...we will see her smiling face again, soon!

Marie came to work on the Birth Center of the hospital above 27 years ago and we quickly became friends. We had some harried evenings together in the birth center but we were a good team. I remember one evening that labor pt after labor pt came in and we somehow got everyone through safely . We loved to drink Zimas after to work to relax. We shared a love of the ocean. She will be dearly missed, RIP my friend <3
I loved working with Arie. She was so laid back and easy. She had a mischievous smile and I never heard her complain about anything. I regret that I didn't learn about her health problem until recently. I would've been there to help. My condolences to her family and friends.
I was a new nurse at CRH, who LOVED (and still does) to joke. She was very patient with me and I never recall a negative comment. When things were stressful, she always had a calming effect.
Marie touched the lives of so many people in her career as a Reigstered Nurse. I doubt she was aware that others considered it a privledge to have worked along side of her. She shared her knowledge, determination and sense of humor with all. Always giving of herself even in times of personal tragety.
