Ambrose Efta's Obituary
Ambrose (Andy) Alfred Efta, 78, of Bealeton, died Monday, July 1, 2025, at his home. He was born September 10, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to the late Clement and Rita Efta.
Andy graduated from Trinity Prep School in 1964. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the 25th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 752 in Culpeper and had served as its past president. Andy was a tool and die maker for Kodak for over thirty years. He was an avid model railroader, raced remote control cars, was a woodworker, fisherman, and hunter. Andy had an amazing sense of humor with “humorous anecdotes”. He was a good friend to a lot of people.
Andy is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Rena E. Efta; son, Mikel Hubbel and his wife, Amy; granddaughter, Caitlin, and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 East Edmondson Street, Culpeper, VA with Father Joseph Vu officiating. A reception will be held following the funeral service at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, 235 Southgate Shopping Center, Culpeper, VA
Interment will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery (New Section), 501 East Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Military honors will be provided by V.F.W. Post 2524.
