Alyssa Nicole Ryckman's Obituary
Alyssa Nicole Ryckman, 33, of Culpeper, went on to her reward on November 21, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1992, to Anthony and Cynthia Ryckman in Boise, Idaho.
Alyssa had a joyful spirit and a deep love for her family. She had an infectious smile and a sparkle in her eyes. She had her dad's love of old cars and would point them out on our many car rides and want to "Get the camera! Picture please". She had a passion for music of all kinds and was often heard singing along to the radio and movies, filling any space with her voice. She was an avid movie buff, both animated and live action. One of her favorite movies was The Grinch, starring Jim Carrey, a film that never failed to make her smile and act out her favorite scenes with fervor. Long car rides were a cherished part of her daily routine. She never cared where she was going, she just wanted to go and enjoy the simple pleasure of the open road. Alyssa had a special relationship with many of the staff at our local Chick-Fil-A restaurant, enjoying the many gifts they bestowed upon her over the years. In the past few years, Alyssa accompanied her mom to the meetings with the Culpeper Quilters Guild, cultivating friendships with many of the members. Alyssa had the unique gift to make everyone
she met fall in love with her. Her life was truly a gift, and her memory will remain radiant in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Alyssa is survived by her parents, Anthony and Cynthia Ryckman: siblings Kyla Mavencamp and husband Thomas, and Maddelyn Free and husband, John: paternal grandmother, Sally Lou Ryckman: and a host of extended family and friends.
Alyssa is reunited in Heaven with her maternal grandparents, Joke Diender, Ronald Kerr and Eugene Maas, and her paternal grandfather, James D. Ryckman.
