Looking at his picture calls back many memories of this beautiful man. He was my Special Agent in Charge (SAC) in New Haven. He carried his responsibilities with both wisdom and grace. A true gentle man in the widest sense. To have lunch with him was to experience one or other battle of the Civil War of which he was truly knowledgeable. But more importantly, one was aware that this was a man who was sincere in what he thinks and does and treated you like an equal. In my 31 years working for the Bureau he is at the top of the list as one of the best SAC's under whom I served.
As I write this your life is being celebrated in Culpeper. With all who are there and all of us who are not...I wish you well and pray those wonderful sung words of "in paradisum."
"May the angels lead you into paradise; may the martyrs receive you at your arrival and lead you to the holy city Jerusalem. May choirs of angels receive you and with Lazarus, once a poor man, may you have eternal rest."
