Alma F. Close's Obituary
Alma F. Close, 94, of Culpeper went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 29, 1923 in Culpeper to the late Harry and Lillie Lucas Fletcher.
Mrs. Close was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and was a great woman of faith.
She is survived by two sons, Philip L. Parker and his wife, Kimberly, and Charles “Buddy” Parker; one sister, Shirley Smoot; four grandchildren, Carlisle Davidhizar, Trevor, Chloé and Dawson Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Parker; her second husband, Albert E. Close; and one sister, Mary Oehmig.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, 601 Madison Rd., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Brad Hales officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Parker, Ethan Davidhizar, Scott Connell, Mikey Martin, Michael Olinger and Cody Field.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
