Allison Woods Smoot's Obituary
Allison Woods Smoot, 61, of Culpeper, went home to the Lord on June 26, 2020. She was born June 26, 1959 to Arthur L. Woods, Jr. and Margaret R. Woods.
Allison’s greatest joys in life were kids, horses and gardening. She also had an amazing passion for animals. There were many occasions she would nurse an injured or sick animal back to health.
She is survived by her brother Eric “Ross” Woods and sister Margaret Blankenship; her son, Edwin “Doug” Smoot, III; nieces and nephews, Heather Woods, Arthur L. Woods, IV “Bunky”, Mary Lou Woods, Samuel Blankenship, Mary Katherine Day (Scott) and Michael Buchannan, Jr.; several great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret H. Woods and father, Arthur L. Woods, Jr.; her sister, Mary Bess Barent; her brother, Arthur L. Woods, III.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11 am at Little Fork Episcopal Church, 16461 Oak Shade Road, Rixeyville, VA 22737.
