Allen D. Smith's Obituary
Allen D. Smith, 68, of Culpeper died Friday, May 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1945 in Woodstock, VA.
He is survived by two children, Robyn E. Moncure of Manassas, Eric Cutcliffe of Portland, OR and three granddaughters, Lizz and Maggie Moncure, and Darien Cutcliffe.
Allen was a retired United States Park Police Horse Mounted Patrol Officer. He loved his dogs and would often be seen with them around town. He was a beloved father, grandfather and neighbor whose kindness and willingness to lend a hand is well known.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 am at Reformation Lutheran Church, 509 S. Main St., Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to his favorite animal rescue, Culpeper County Department of Animal Services, 10144 James Monroe Hwy, Culpeper, VA 22701.
