Allan Enright Thompson's Obituary
Allan Enright Thompson, 57, of Culpeper passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 3, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1954 in Ft. Belvoir, VA to David Allen and Jean Cropp Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a self employed carpenter and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed playing in and coaching soccer for travel and at Culpeper County High School. Mr. Thompson had a sarcastic and witty sense of humor that will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Thomas Allen “Tommie” Thompson and his partner, Brianna and her child, Maddox, all of Culpeper, his former wife, Ana Marie Thompson, his paternal grandmother, Elsie Edwards of Culpeper, two sisters, Cheryl Barnes of Charleston, SC and Dawn Thompson of Culpeper, four brothers, John Thompson of Culpeper, Dale Thompson of Fairfax, Craig Thompson of Culpeper and Scot Thompson of Charleston, SC, his special niece, Amy Hunt, and a host of other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2 pm at Jeffersonton United Methodist Church, 5085 Jeffersonton Rd., Jeffersonton, VA with Rev. Bryan McClain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Rapidan, PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
