Alice is next to the youngest of nine siblings. She moved from Luray to Culpeper, VA when she married Alvin at the age of seventeen. The added distance could not separate our hearts. We all share a bond that can never be broken. She left our closely knit circle but we knew our love stayed as strong as ever. I hear her voice when she was calling for advice. I hear her laughter when I said something funny. I remember her concern when a child or grandchild needed to be cared for. I still want to call her just to leave a message.. "Ali where you at this early in the morning? Call me!"
