Alice Frances Harding's Obituary
Alice “Frances” Harding, 89, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Woodmont Center, where she had resided for the past year.
Frances was born in Madison, VA on August 21, 1924 to Elnora Stanley and James Bache. She graduated from Orange County High School in Orange, VA.
She was the widow of Elwood Ray Harding.
Frances worked as a seamstress for Morganstern’s Pants Factory and Rappahannock Sports Wear, Metro Drug Store and Giant Food. She was an avid duckpin bowler, enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles and reading. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Frances was the mother of two sons, Ray L. Harding (Judy) and Dean R. Harding (Carla); a daughter, Terry L. Passagaluppi; and the grandmother of six; great-grandmother of nine and great-great grandmother of five. She is also survived by a sister, Nellie Lucille Elliott of Hampton, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Athie, Lester, and Reginald Bache; sisters, Mae Roach and Edna Manseau; and granddaughter, Jennifer Rose Harding.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Jennifer Rose Harding Art Scholarship, 27 Bel Plains Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
