Alice Mary Gibson's Obituary
Alice Mary Gibson, 95, of Culpeper, passed away September 6, 2020. She was born October 22, 1924 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late John Henry Sutton and Elizabeth Mary Dillon Sutton.
She loved to oil paint and write stories. She wrote stories of her childrens lives and they never knew what to expect! She was a great mom and left them with so many stories of their childhood. Her family loved her hot homemade bread and hamburger soup. She would have home baked cookies and hot chocolate when they came in from the snow.
Alice is survived by four children; Richard Gibson (Carol), Bonnie Balderson (Paul), Cindy Sweeney, and V. Aaron Gibson (Carla); 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Gibson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 12pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to COVID mandates, masks are required to enter the building. Interment will be private.
