Alice Hinton Barton's Obituary
Alice Hinton Barton, 73, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015.
Born July 31, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Hinton. Philadelphia born, she adapted to the culture of each region in which she lived.
She loved travelling in Europe and the many musical theater productions attended in New York and at the Kennedy Center. She was a wonderful cook and looked forward to the many family festivities wherein she spent many successful hours in the kitchen.
She leaves many loved ones and admirers including her husband of 33 wonderful years, Bill; her daughters, Jennifer and Regina; her grandchildren, Emily, Regina and David; and her step-children, Bill, Brian and Ginny.
She admired the entire staff at Carriage Hill, particularly the young women who held her hand as she passed away. Counted as her closest friends were her Philadelphia school mates, her knitting buddies and her former employers, the Zanoff brothers.
Her 15 and a half years of agony are over. Now she reaps her eternal reward.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg VA 22407.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation online or at 383 Main Ave., Norwalk CT 06851.
