Alfredo Pineapple Bordon Grabato's Obituary
Alfredo Bordon Grabato, 77, of Lignum died Friday, December 22, 2006 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born January 12, 1929 in Iloilo, Philippines, to the late Felipe Grabato and Susana Bordon Grabato.
“Pineapple” was a veteran of the U. S. Army retiring as a SGT. First Class and then also retired from the Rochester Corp. in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years Virginia Camamgonam Grabato, and their five children; Jenny Roddy and her husband Randy of Norris, TN, Elizabeth Hollis of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Eve Hollmann and her husband Tim of Sedona, AZ, Eda Crouse and her husband Tim of Deland, FL and Ella Page and her husband Robert of Culpeper, VA, Nine grandchildren; John McGinnis, Heather Mason, Angela Moles, Brian Hollis, Mike Grabato, Katrina Crouse, Charlene Crouse, Tyler Hollmann and Justin Hollis and seven great grandchildren; Jordan Brooks, Joshua and Mikayla Moles, Katie, Blake and Will McGinnis and Holly Mason.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 12p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Fr. Leo Zonneveld officiating.
The Family will receive friends from 10a.m.to 12p.m. prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper National Cemetery with Military honors provided by the American Legion post 330 and V.F.W. post 2425.
The Family will be serving as Pallbearers.
