Alfred Woodrow Hite's Obituary
Alfred Woodrow Hite, 74, of Remington died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 24, 1941 in Nelson County to the late William and Margaret Henderson Hite.
Mr. Hite was a member of New Life Baptist Church for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible and spending time with this family.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Ann Hite; three children, Tammy Jo Thompson and her husband, Robert of Front Royal, Laura Ann Stidham and her husband, Vilas of Culpeper and Alfred Fenton Hite and his wife, Nina of Linden; and three siblings, William Hite, Jr. of Bealeton, Franklin Hite and his wife, Daisy of Lovingston, VA and Donald Hite and his wife, Hattie of Bealeton.
Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, Teresa Oakes and her husband, Michael of Culpeper, Irvin Thompson and his wife, Jennifer of Front Royal, Crystal Stidham of Culpeper, Angela Mullins of Joshua of Hedgesville, WV, Jamie Thompson of Front Royal, Jennifer Shifflett and her husband, Justin of Remington, Sara Woodward and her husband, Jerry of Madison and Megan and Will Hite of Linden.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 12 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 12302 Alum Springs Rd., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Rick Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dave, Josh, Justin, Gene, Jerry and Michael.
