Alfred Lee Ford's Obituary
Alfred Lee Ford, age 64, of Manassas, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011.
He was born in Turlock, CA on April 21, 1947 to the late Aubrey Ford and Darlene Leach. He resided in the San Francisco Bay area until joining the US Army after high school. Mr. Ford served for a total of eleven years in the US Army, having served in Vietnam, Germany and at the Pentagon. During his service he worked as a helicopter door gunner as well as in computer installation. While stationed at Fort Rucker, AL, he married his beloved wife Rita Kathryn in April of 1968. He dedicated over nine years of service as an EMT with Company’s 8 and 9, having served as President and Captain of the Yorkshire Company.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rita Kathryn; five children, Lascetta Patton, Lorraine Evans, Lee Ford, Lawrence Ford and Lewis Ford; a brother, Dean Ford; step-mother, Beverly Ford; seven grandchildren, Cody Evans, Kerry Evans, Kathryn Patton, David-Mark Patton, Damien Ford, Liam Ford and Nathan Ford.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
