Albin Douglas Settle's Obituary
Albin Douglas Settle, 73, of Culpeper, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at the University of Virginia Hospital. He was born December 1, 1950, in Charlottesville to the late Albin Lee and Frances Settle.
Doug was a member of Mitchell’s Presbyterian Church and loved attending the men’s conferences at Massanetta. He was a member of the Mid-Day Lions Club, and a former member of the Leo Club in school, and a former Mason. Doug received his Pastoral Degree from Liberty Baptist College, now known as Liberty University. He enjoyed word search books, horses, and collecting weird trinkets. Doug liked reading Westerns and about different religions. Doug liked watching cardinals in his yard, gardening, and having tomato contests with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of almost 44 years, Crystal Settle; and his son, Kenneth “KAS” Albin Settle.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Ruby Stovall.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Mitchell’s Presbyterian Church, 12229 Mitchell Rd, Mitchells, VA 22729 with Rev. Patrick Lane and Rev. Dr. Harrison Williams officiating.
Interment will follow immediately at Mitchell’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Ricky Christenson, Ron Evans, Conley Wallace, Brett Massey, Graeme Tidman, and Jon Ryder.
