Alberta Sorrell Brooks' Obituary
Alberta Sorrell Brooks, 89, of Spotsylvania, died peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home.
She was a homemaker and loved her family, especially her only grandson.
Alberta is survived by her daughter, Charleen Carter (Kelly); her son, Steve Brooks; her grandson, Jason Carter (Sue); one brother, Earl Sorrell (Arlene); three sisters, Evelyn Atchison (Robert), Iris Hatchel and Darnell Dillard (Russell); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Brooks; her mother and father, Robert and Lena Sorrell; and her brother, Linwood Sorrell.
The family wants to thank her caregiver, Lynn Robertson, for all her care and love and to Mary Washington Hospice for their help and support.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, 11000 Hebron Church Rd, Spotsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue # 401B, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
