Albert "Sam" Samuel Orrison, Jr.'s Obituary
Albert “Sam” Samuel Orrison, Jr., 76, of Castleton, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home. He was born November 5, 1946 in Warrenton to the late Albert S. and Charlotte J. Orrison.
Sam was an electrician for more than 40 years with the IBEW Local 26. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. Sam enjoyed working outside and on his cars. He loved NASCAR, John Deere tractors, and watching and attending tractor pulls.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Orrison; three children, Kim Fairfax (Neal), Glen Orrison (Stacey), and Rob Orrison (Jamie); nine grandchildren, Aaron Orrison, Brady Orrison, Cody Fairfax, Sammy Fairfax, Ethan Fairfax, Carter Orrison, Grayson Orrison, Michael Martin, and Joshua Martin; one brother, Thomas Orrison (Bonnie); one sister-in-law, Sharon Orrison; and his two breakfast buddies, Mike Buckley and Roger Hitt.
In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Orrison.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Union Cemetery, 323 N. King Street, Leesburg, VA 20176 with Pastor Steven Hoffman officiating. Pallbearers serving the family will be Aaron Orrison, Brady Orrison, Cody Fairfax, Sammy Fairfax, Ethan Fairfax, and K. P. Grigsby. Military honors will be provided by the US Army.
