Alan Dale King's Obituary
Alan Dale King, 65, passed away on September 27, 2017 in Loudon County, VA.
Alan was born February 13, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1974 to 1978. He was an active volunteer in Culpeper, VA youth activities; as a soccer coach; Cub Scout Pack 369, and as Scoutmaster of Troop 168.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie King; sons Justin King and Bryan King; daughter Abigail King; brothers Timothy King and Mark Nickel; five grandchildren, Hailey King, Addison King, Cargan King, Ariya King and Zoë King.
He was preceded in death by his father, Omar Reed King; mother, Helen Marie Brewer King; sister Cheryl Metcalf; brother Michael King.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 115 N East St., Culpeper, VA. The family will hold a private burial ceremony.
Memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America in the name of Alan King.
