Saddened to hear about Al. Our trip to Europe provides many lasting memories. It was fun to hang out with him. Great sense of humor. We were into music. He had a Nash Metropolitan, and we would squeeze three of us in it and head out to dances and shows. He was a good dancer. There was also a shared interest in motorcycles. On a trip to Florida we rented motorcycles and cruised Siesta Key and Myakka River State Park. Again, nice memories of a nice guy.

So many memories from a friendship of over sixty years. Memories from high school, college, motorcycles, camping, boating, sports cars, renting and buying homes at Lake Anna. My most favorite memories are from our six week trip to Europe, Al, Blake, Greg and me. Summer of 1971. Next would be Super Bowl XXXIV
Atlanta Ga. 2000. Al, Gloria, Art, Carrol, Lee and me. Hosted by the “Redskins” when Lee was working for Michelle Snyder. A lifetime of memories with Al. I will miss you so much my best friend.
Alain was one of my closest friends. He was the kind of person that you always hoped would be part of your life. We met while attending Groveton High School and remained best friends ever since. We shared a lot of common interests such as photography, sports cars, motorcycles, audio gear and boating. Alain, along with several other Groveton graduates, did so many things together such as going to concerts, parties, celebrating marriages and new babies, playing tennis and travel, particularly many memorable trips to the Florida Keys. We spent many days boating at Lake Anna, one of our favorite places to relax. My only regret was that I was not able to spend much time with Alain these last couple of years due to his health challenges. Alain touched many people and was always there for you no matter what. My wife Carrol and I extend our sincere condolences to Gloria and his sister Dionna, as well as other family members. Thanks for all the great memories our dear friend.

My sincere condolences to Gloria and family on your loss. I attended high school with Al and always considered him a great guy and a close friend.
In earlier years we enjoyed picnics at Ft. Hunt Park, playing tennis, riding motorcycles, bar hoping thru Georgetown just shooting the breeze.
Ther was never a better storyteller than Al. The story always featured the minor details and humor which usually involved himself, Craig, Phil, Art, Blake, Rodger or other friends.
Al always enjoyed discussing music, bands, concerts, cars, motorcycles and boats.
I will miss Al on my visits to Virginia but the memories of the times we spent together will not fade.
