Adele Katherine Inks
Adele Katherine Inks age 96, passed away on June 21, 2009 at Gainesville Health & Rehab Center.
Adele was a charter member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church later to become Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern star for over 50 years, a charter member of Happy Hoofers and Ladies Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Association. She was in the senior Olympics in which she received 6 gold medals in horse shoes and race walking. Adele was also a member of the local Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Roy E. Inks, one daughter, Judith A. McCullough and husband John of Fairfax Station, VA; one sister, Julie Adie and husband Col. John who is USAR of Williamsburg, VA; four grand children and one great grandchild.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 pm with a Easter Star service at 7:30 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel. A funeral Service will be held on Friday June 26, 2009 at 9:30 am at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. Interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle VA.
