Ada Marie Bayne Smith's Obituary
Ada Marie Bayne Smith, 86, of Culpeper died Friday, June 7, 2013, at her residence. She was born June 29, 1926 in Culpeper, Virginia to the late Norman H. Bayne and Frances Bayne.
Ada was a lifetime member for over 50 years of the Black Oak Regular Baptist Church. She began her working career at the Pants Factory and retired from the Virginia Department of Health. She was a volunteer with the Culpeper Hospital Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed being outdoors and socializing at the Senior Center.
She is survived by a sister, Julia B. Sisk , and sons Harry L. and his wife, Rosa; Bobby and his wife, Carolyn, all of Culpeper, and Tony and his wife, Cathy, of Louisiana. Additional survivors include six grandchildren, Debbie, Tony, Tonya, Jeff, Ryn and Sam. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Colby, Tyler, Zachary and Taya.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, H. L. Smith, Sr., five brothers, Johnny, Richard, Willie, Benjamin and Charlie Bayne, and four sisters, Mary, Ella, Katie and Daisy.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Rapidan for their kindness and support. Your attention and care for our mother has not gone unnoticed.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. in the Found and Sons chapel with Rev. Wayne Richards officiating.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
