Arlene - I was so sorry to hear of Pastor Wally's passing while I was away on vacation. Pastor Wally was of course the first pastor when Lloyd and I joined Messiah in the early 1990s, and he and you both won over our hearts, as did the people at Messiah. Having come from a German background, Lloyd and I were rather uninitiated into the Lutheran Scandinavian heritage. As Rob mentions below, his Uff Da license plate was a mystery to us when we first arrived at Messiah! We had transferred to Messiah from St. Luke in Silver Spring, so it was rather ironic that Pastor Wally ended up being one of St. Luke's pastors after he left Messiah. I always heard wonderful things about him from the people I was still in touch with at St. Luke while he was there! Love and hugs! Alma Edgerly

Alan, Becky, Mrs Rosheim,

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember playing computer games with Alan on the family’s first Apple computer in the 1980’s in your home in base housing at SHAPE. Mr Rosheim would try to steer us towards putting the computer to better use, like solving the world’s problems. I will always remember him as a positive life force and one who saw good things in all.

Arlene and Becky,
My sincere condolences on Pastor Wally's passing. I cherish the memory of your time at St. Luke Lutheran Church. In particular, I gratefully remember the service he led at my mother's memorial service. On the lighter side, I thank him for teaching me the meaning of his license plate, "UFF DA." May God comfort you and the rest of your family as well as the many folks who were touched by his warmth and service to the Lord.
