October 9, 1995 - September 27, 2020
Scott Walker Morrow, 24, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born October 9, 1995 in Fredericksburg, VA to John W. Morrow III and Karen Morrow. He is survived by his fiancé, Maria Espinoza and daughter, Makayla Morrow. Scott is also survived by his parents, John and Karen Morrow; siblings, Erin (Adam), John, and Nicole; grandparents, Michael and Barbara Mullinax, and Edith Morrow, as well as his uncles, aunts, and cousins. Scott was a proud Iron Worker of the Local Labor Union 416 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was one of the few people to climb the 30-foot iron column, a Union 416 tradition, on the first try. He was training at Xtreme Couture MMA with the goal of becoming an amateur fighter. After visiting the aforementioned gym, Scott’s coaches explained that he was close to achieving his goal. As the legend goes, it has been said that Scott landed the best fakie ollie of all time at Brooks skatepark, his old Fredericksburg stomping ground. Scott had the most generous heart that we have ever known. He was a sensitive and free spirit with an energy that captivated those around him. He was disciplined, determined, and extremely stubborn- he was always trying to better himself. Scott was a loyal friend, brother, son, fiancé, and father- once his friend, you were always his friend. He was a goofy, loving, and proud dad of Makayla. Makayla and Scott loved to snuggle every night. A celebration of Scott’s life will be taking place on November 27, 2020 at the Inn at the Old Silk Mill (1707 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401). The celebration service will begin at 11:00 AM with remarks from the family and then open up to the public for those who would wish to share. Following his service, we will have refreshments, food and music until 2:00PM. In honor of Scott, we ask that you wear your funkiest, most outrageous shirt to commemorate him- he would be offended if you didn’t. He was well-known for his quirky and eccentric fashion style. In addition, please remember to bring and wear a mask to ensure all attendees safety. For those of you who are unable to make it or are not comfortable attending, there will be a Zoom created for people to attend the live service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Shine A Light Foundation. Shine a Light is a Freedom House Sober Living program that helps the hundreds of men, women, and children who live in the underground flood channels of Las Vegas. It offers housing, drug counseling, case management, and basic necessities for those living in the tunnels. Here is the link to donate: http://freedombh.org/donate/. If you are not comfortable with online donations, you are able to mail directly to the Freedom House Sober Living Program at: 3852 Palos Verde Street, Las Vegas, NV, 89119.
