Phyllis Elizabeth Theimer

Phyllis Elizabeth Theimer, 87, of Culpeper, VA died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home. She was born June 23, 1934 in the District of Columbia to the late Leon Hilburn, Sr. and Elizabeth Chabot Hilburn. Phyllis was a long time employee with Giant Foods, retiring after 29 years. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors caring for her land, mowing and growing gardens of beautiful vegetables and flowers. She found relaxation in her love of nature, watching the abundant wildlife that her property attracted including deer, birds, and also the Canadian geese that frequented their pond. She was a master at crocheting, knitting and cross stitching. She also loved working crossword puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. Phyllis was actively involved in the homeowners association for Chesterfield Estates. She is survived by her five children, Susan Martin of Locust Grove, Kathleen Hudson and her husband, Robert of Dallas, GA, Michael Theimer and his wife, Brandon of Harrisonburg, VA, Craig Theimer and his wife, Margaret of Bealeton, VA, and Cynthia Smith and her husband, David of Chesapeake, VA; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers, Leon Hilburn Jr., and Kenny Hilburn. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Anthony Theimer, siblings, Kitty Menks and Joseph Hilburn, a great grandchild, Daniel Grubb, and sisters-in-law Joan Hilburn and Barbara Hilburn. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. Facial coverings are required to enter the building. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Father Kevin Walsh officiating.
