Charles "Tom" Thomas Cornett

December 16, 1953 - February 2, 2022

Charles “Tom” Thomas Cornett, 68, of Fredericksburg, went home to be with the Lord February 2, 2022 at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born December 16, 1953 in Havre de Grace, MD to Charles Ray Cornett and Sara Lucretia Wilt Cornett. Tom is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Ann Harmon Cornett; four children, Jennifer Keene (Marshall), Rachel Lawson (Dan), Daniel Cornett (Carrie) and Emily Embrey (Cole); three sisters, Terry Vanover (Eddie), Lora Batts and Diane Daughtry (Johnny); eleven grandchildren, Sierra, Emma, Kaylee, Katie, Makenna, Riley, Ellie, Brooke, Alex, Josslyn and Jace. Tom was predeceased by his sister, Charlotte Crouse. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Eley’s Ford Baptist Church, 10401 Ely’s Ford Rd., Fredericksburg, VA with Pastor James “Jim” Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
