John was an unfailingly level-headed and cooperative co-parent for my daughters, Julia and Natalie, and, after my ex-wife passed away, the only one remaining with whom I could share certain sentiments and memories. He was a hyper-rational individual with a remarkable intellect... a good man. Good men are missed in this world.
God looked around his garden
and found an empty space
Then He looked down upon his earth
and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. It has been nice talking with him from time to time since he moved back to Culpeper. He was unable to attend our 50th Class reunion this year and we talked about that and I sent him pictures later. He was a special friend and I will miss him. Sending prayers and blessings to all the family.
