I did not have the good fortune to meet Jeffrey, but my most heartfelt condolences go to Barbara and Philip, his parents, who are good friends. The loss of a child is the most terrible experience any parent can suffer, and to have it happen twice passes all understanding. Sincere condolences and good wishes to all of Jeffrey's surviving family.

Words cannot express my sympathy. Jeff was always such a beacon of hope and strength. I remember my summers as a child spent in Staten Island and all of memories he helped create for my youth. We will be honored to make a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
Aunt Barbara, I want you to know that although we missed several Thanksgivings, the last year we able to came, the whole family was there and my children got to meet my cousins and their amazing parents. For that I am blessed.

I am very saddened to learn that Jeff has died. I worked with him when he was a student in the graduate program at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was not only a good student but a kind and witty person -- always good natured. The last I heard of him he was about to start a brewery; so glad to hear that it worked out so well. His was a life taken far too soon.

Our deepest condolences to my cousin Jeff's Family. It's been probably over thirty years since we last seen him. Though we often thought of him and how he overcame his tragic injury of breaking his neck by diving in a pool. We always remember that and always warn our children and friends of the dangers involved in diving in pools. It was great to know that he overcame his disabilities and lived a full and happy life. It was very gratifying to read in the articles about his death how successful and inspirational his craft brewing enterprise had become. Not a surprise, given his many fine qualities.

Jeff was a friend for over 12 years, and I watched his business at the Blue and Gray grow from a tiny operation selling beer from an old ice cream truck into the restaurant he sold this spring. It was an honor to serve as Emcee for his annual Oktoberfest and St. Patrick's Day events, and I was always impressed at how he would bring together so many community organizations for his celebrations...everyone from politicians, girl scout troops, law enforcement K9 units, and even the local roller derby team. And on those weekends, he would turn an old warehouse district into "the place to be". In our last conversation, he told me of his plans to work with the county to organize even bigger and better events now that the brewery was sold. He was a fine man who overcame a lot in his life. He had a keen mind, and a kind heart. He was a dear friend, and I will miss him.
