One of my most fun childhood memories was to visit Carrie and play with Barbie dolls. I remember how excited I always was to go to the Hardnetts where each visit felt like a special occasion.

Carrie and I kept in touch throughout the years, but even if we lost contact for a season, when we would reconnect the conversation flowed as if we had just spoken the day before.

Like her beautiful art, Carrie’s joyful and youthful demeanor will be etched into the memories of the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed.
