Tyson Lee Jolliffe, Sr, 76, of Rixeyville passed from this life and gained his wings in Heaven on February 2, 2022. He was born March 17, 1945, to his mother Maude Rose Raines and father Franklin Lee Jolliffe. Tyson is survived by his wife, Frances Virginia Jolliffe of 58 years, sons Frank and Tyson Jolliffe Jr (Shannon) and daughters Angela Rose Starr (Mike), Arlene Jolliffe Brown and sisters Natalie Gaye Carr, Judy Settle and half-brother Van Stringfellow. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Cameron Ayscue, Chad (Barbara), Matt (Christina), James, Daniel, Kathryn Starr, Chaz Lee Jolliffe and Brook Renee Jolliffe. He is also survived by his great grandchildren that he loved so dearly, Chad Michael ‘C.M.’, Alaina, Aubrey, Logan, Aiden, Rowen, Ryder Luke, Levi, and Everly Ann. Tyson started his own logging business, Tyson’s Timber Harvesters in 1982. His son Tyson Lee helped him during the summers and when he graduated, he became his right-hand man and best friend. Tyson was the hardest working man and loved being out in the woods, that was his favorite place to be. Together, they have had 40 great years of success. He had a special bond with his son Tyson Lee, they would watch football and NASCAR together, go on trips to the casino, and spend weekends at the bay house. Anyone who knew Tyson, enjoyed his company. He was always cracking jokes with a smile on his face. He had the kindest soul and was the most giving man. He was the glue to our family and will be missed dearly. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Facial coverings are required to enter the building. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 4160 Rixeyville Rd, Jeffersonton, VA 22724.
