Nathan Raymond Burke, 50, of Washington, VA, died Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home, after a long battle with diabetes. He was born December 8, 1971 in Winchester, VA to Abe and Becky Burke. Nathan was a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Church. He was a longtime choir member and youth ministries participant. In addition to his parents, Nathan is survived by six aunts, Sheila Henry, Mabel Burke, Corrine Eastham, Janet Smith, Eleanor James (Donald), and Raye Rector; one uncle, Eddie Burke; and a host of cousins. He is also survived by his faithful K-9 companion, Champ. He is preceded in death by one brother, Neil J. Burke. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Washington Masonic Cemetery, Fodderstack Road, Washington, VA with Pastor Jim Williams officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Nathan’s name to Chester Gap Baptist Church, 41 Waterfall Rd, Chester Gap, VA 22623.
