Michael Wayne King Jr.

January 14, 2000 - March 15, 2022

On March 15, 2022, Michael’s wings appeared and he flew to heaven. He was loved by his family, girlfriend, friends, and colleagues. He loved life and often displayed his infectious smile. A lighthearted spirited young man, he was a gym rat, a self-taught barber, and often enjoyed riding his royal purple motorcycle. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was overall a great son. In addition to his father and mother, Mechael Wayne King, Sr. and Linda M. Napier-King, Michael is survived by his sister, Brooke Nicole King, and half-sister Tiara McQueen King; his uncles, Carl L. Napier, and his wife, Lisa Napier, Ronnie Napier, and John R. King, Jr., and his wife, Felicia King; his aunts, Debra Napier-Thompson (her deceased husband, Samuel J. Thompson), Violeree Cobbs, and her partner, Chester Vinney, Janice Napier, Linda K. Nelson, Delores K. Brown, and her husband, Melvin Brown, Jacqueline King, and Carol K. Robinson, and her husband, Sherroy Robinson, his paternal grandfather, John Richard King,Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Lyvonnia J. Napier. Michael is also survived by his girlfriend, Michaela Purnell, along with a host of first cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl L. Napier, Sr., and his paternal grandmother, Edith M. King. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
