Lindsay Pierce Balestreri Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lindsay Pierce Balestreri, 65, of Fredericksburg, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at her home. A daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife of a U.S. Marine, mother-in-law, and devoted friend. Lindsay’s life was a kaleidoscope of living, loving and laughing with each turn a little different from the last. Lindsay loved shopping with her mother on Saturdays and hanging with her dad working on projects in the garage. She always talked about watching Dennis play war with his Army men in the den and how much she hated Blake’s pranks. Meredith was the Golden child because she never did anything wrong. When Lindsay was little on Christmas Day after presents were opened and breakfast was eaten, she wanted to “Reminisce Christmas” just to look at presents again and review what everyone got. Lindsay loved to travel – planes, trains, automobiles, cruise ships and even horseback if necessary. She was Ann’s soul-sister from birth and travel buddy. They were non-stop, first class and always with glamor and style. She was the crazy Aunt with tattoos and the crazy colored hair who wore Day of the Dead and Psycho Bunny clothes. She would color your hair blue or travel for football games and field hockey with only a minute’s notice. Lindsay loved collecting gargoyles, crafting, and making clothes including her own Marine Corps Ball gowns. She loved Mexican food especially Nedra’s rolled tacos and hated to play Pictionary with Steve and Nedra because they always cheated (they owned the game so go figure). She loved her fur-babies Chipper, Bella, FiFi, and Sookie and was a fierce advocate for animals. Lindsay held a very special place in her heart for her son Aaron and daughter in law Deb and her love for them was unconditional. Deb was the daughter she never had and she loved Deb’s art and love for tattoos. She was all of this and so much more. We love her and she will live in our hearts and memories forever. Lindsay is survived by her husband of 36 years, William Balestreri; son, Aaron Balestreri (Debra) of Stafford County; her mother, Jackie Forbes of Norfolk; two brothers, Dennis Forbes of Maryland, and Blake Forbes of Richmond; sister, Meredith Turner (Carl) of Chesapeake; nieces and nephews, Darrell Forbes, Meghan Forbes, Luke Forbes, Henry Forbes, Logan Turner, Casey Turner, Mackenzie Turner, and Pierce Turner; and many other close family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a charity of your choosing or to the Fredericksburg SPCA.
