Kamara "Kami" Leigh Fox

Kamara “Kami” Leigh Fox, 37, of Locust Grove and Reva, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1984 to Sherrie Fox and David Oquendo in Arlington, VA. Kami had a passion for the theater and singing, and had a beautiful singing voice. She loved her children. In her downtime she loved to bake and make candy, cooking food and sharing with all those she loved. She had a gentle, loving presence that welcomed in and raised up everyone who met her. She was an avid explorer of nature and the world around her. She loved animals and plants, and crafting with her children, making art from stones, recycled goods, allowing all the things around her to come alive with their special light. In addition to her parents, Kami is survived by her husband of 15 years, Andrew Schuyler Varela; her children, Marley Rose Varela, Alice Victoria Varela, Killian Pierce Varela, and Anne Bonny Varela; her brother, Jesse Lane Fox; her grandmother, Nancy E. Fox; step grandmother, Connie R. Fox; an aunt, Christina Williams; and a cousin, Amanda Luckett; her father in law, Arthur A. Varela; mother in law, Marilyn Livingood and her husband Bill Livingood; and sister in law, Rabbit Varela. Kami is preceded in death by her grandfather, LeRoy D. Fox and her great grandmother, Byrle Keefer Reed. A Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper VA 22701 with Rev. Dr. Ray Manfredi officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
