James Russell Calabrese

LT. James Russell Calabrese, 72, USN (retired) of Reva, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Prince William Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doreen Calabrese; three children, Jennifer Ryan Calabrese, Lindsay Lee Calabrese (Garth Simington) and Thomas Jonathan Calabrese (Emily) as well as his grand puppies Rourke and Lil Lady. Born in Valparaiso, Indiana on April 27, 1949 to the late Dominick and Reppa Calabrese, James loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Whether it was driving all across the country to an amusement park, to a Civil War battlefield or any historical site, as long as his family was with him, James could not be happier. He will be forever and always in our hearts. On Saturday, January 29, 2022, on what would’ve marked 50 years together, a memorial service will be held at 9:30 am. The service will take place at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S West St, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Dan Carlton officiating. A reception will follow at James’ favorite pub, Park Lane Tavern, located at 1 Towne Center Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22047.
