Daniel Lee Holmes

Daniel Lee "DJ" Holmes, Jr., 49, of Falls Church, VA passed on Saturday, January 29th, 2022. He was born May 2, 1972 in Westchester, Pennsylvania to Rose Gertrude and Daniel Lee Holmes, Sr. D.J., as he was so lovingly called by family and friends, earned his diploma from Culpeper County High School in n1990. He also attended Elizabeth City State University, NC where he played football and made many lifelong friends. D.J. had a great love of music and making people happy. He loved to see people groove along to the music as he was DJ'ing events. He provided the music/entertainment for many events from PA, MD, DC, and throughout VA. He enjoyed spending time with his family but most importantly he loved to watch his children participate in their activities and cheering them on in everything they did. Lil Dee and Ajaah are his greatest joys. DJ was preceded in death by his mother, Rose G Holmes. He is survived by his wife, Anya Holmes; son, Daniel Lee Holmes, III; daughter, Ajaah Holmes; father, Daniel Lee Holmes, Sr.; brother, Dennis A. Holmes (Tonya); sister, Shawn Holmes-Kendrick (Sean); sister, Stacey Harmon (Daniel); and his nieces and nephews, TaNae Holmes, Reyna Homes, Deja Holmes, Braylon Kendrick, SaNiya Kendrick, Beau Kendrick, Seth Harmon, Nathaniel Harmon, and Eugene Kilby, IV. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and additional family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. Facing coverings are required to enter the building. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
