    Charles Benjamin Miller Jr.

    August 9, 1949 - March 16, 2022

    Charles Benjamin Miller Jr. (72) of Culpeper, departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday March 16,2022 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. Charles was born in Culpeper Virginia on August 9,1949 to the late Alice Moon Miller and Charles Benjamin Miller Sr. Charles was baptized at an early age at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alanthus, Virginia and was educated through the Culpeper County school system. On October 20th 1968 Charles married the love of his life Lucinda Gillison Miller. Charles began working at an early age and owned and operated many businesses over the years. In the early 70’s Charles along with his parents started Miller’s Firewood and Landscaping and later also started the Goodie Wagon Ice Cream Trucks where he became known as the “Ice Cream Man”. On July 30, 1997 Charles started working at Builders First Source where he referred to many of his buddies and coworkers as “Roller”. Many referred to him as either “Ben”, “Miller” or “Big Money”. They always said that he would always put a smile on their faces. Charles worked for Builders for 13 years then went on to do one of his passions: cooking. At the cookouts he was always one of the guys at the grill. Charles owned and operated “Ben’s Cooking”and also continued landscaping on the side until his illness. If Charles was not working you could catch him either watching his favorite football team the Washington Redskins or watching Westerns. Charles leaves to cherish in his precious memories his wife of 53 years Lucinda Gillison Miller. 4 children, Cornell Scott of Culpeper, Charles Miller III (Marylou) of Culpeper, Lisa Humphrey(JR) of Culpeper and Kevin Miller(Dava) of Dinwiddie. His Brother/ sister n laws that he raised as his own Mary Bromell (Lester) of Rapidan, Larry Gillison(Shawnza) of Chesterfield and Felicia Baltimore of Culpeper. One Sister Phyllis Miller of Washington DC. Also to cherish in Charles memory are his 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and four special cousins Martha Lewis of Texas, Mary Martin of Atlanta, James Porter of Pittsburg and Peggie Tomlin of Washington DC., and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 12PM at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Sylvester H. Brown officiating. The family invites those unable to attend to watch via livestream at https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1647736864173610 The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A guestbook and tribute wall are available at www.foundandsons.com.
