Annette Marie Montague, 70, of Culpeper, died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home. She was born May 22, 1951 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Ferdinand and Adelle Bridge. Annette Marie Montague, known as Mar by her friends and family, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a fifty year flight attendant, first at Eastern Airlines then at United Airlines. She loved her job and received many awards and accolades for providing exceptional service during her career. Her true passion, though, was her son, her grandchildren, and her beloved yorkie. She was never happier than in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren, in whom she delighted. She was a caring, giving, generous person who gave her love freely and fervently. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Irving Montague; son, Kitrick John Montague (Kandice); grandchildren, Cole, Skylar, Sterling, and Savannah; her siblings, Leo Bridge, Robert Bridge, and Victoria Timmol (Ian). In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Lily Bridge. A private celebration of Mar’s life will be held at a later date.
