I am saddened for Amanda's family and the many lucky people her life must have touched. I too have fond memories of the house in the silk stocking district where many of us spent countless hours laughing and soaking up the culture, excentricities & love the Wood's family offered.

Amanda was one of the most brilliant and loving people I have ever known. She was my lifelong friend and one of my bridesmaids. Amanda was amazingly cheerful, even when she was suffering, and her love for her family was without end. I am so glad she got to see Charles graduate from college; she was so proud of his musical talents, as well as his intelligence. It is hard top think of a world without Amanda.
My memories of Amanda include her four sisters and her parents. I will always think of Summit Street as their street. I would love to be in touch with her family again.
My husband, Howie, got to meet Amanda several times, and he joins me in sending condolences to the whole family.
